Inspira Foundation Gloucester County used funds from the 2015 Employee Giving Campaign to purchase a state-of-the-art Site Rite Ultrasound System with Pinpoint GT for our Central Access Team. This new equipment is an upgrade over the previous system and helps Inspira Medical Center Woodbury continue to offer premier care in our community.
The Central Access Team is frequently called upon to help treat some of our most critically ill patients. Over the course of a year, this team inserts approximately 500 PICC lines, which play an integral role in administering antibiotics, medications, and much-needed nutrition. When inserting a central line, accuracy and efficiency is critical for the patient, and this new technologically advanced machine will help ensure that no second is ever wasted.
The screen on the Site Rite Ultrasound System provides a clearer and crisper image than the previous system. Trajectory predicting technology ensures that every line is inserted quickly, easily, and safely, improving the safety and quality of care our patients receive. Additional technologies featured by the system will help the team predetermine the proper gauge catheter for a vein. When asked about this new machine, Pat Knooren said, “We are proud to be able to utilize advanced technologies to ensure that our patients receive the safest and highest quality care in the area.”
