Inspira Woodbury has been serving local families for more than 100 years, and we are committed to remaining vital and responsive to the needs of our community. Millions of dollars have been devoted toward enhancing the current site, and Inspira has invested more than $100,000 already to help identify and advance the best possible model for the campus. For two years, Inspira has worked closely with an urban redevelopment consultant, the city of Woodbury, and the Gloucester County Improvement Authority to identify development opportunities for our community.
Inspira Woodbury offers a comprehensive array of diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services, and the network will continue to provide premier imaging services, behavioral health programs, and 24-hour emergency care. Many services will move to Inspira Mullica Hill, where there is more room for growth (100 acres to Woodbury's 14). Also, construction in Mullica Hill will cost approximately $50 million less than building on the current campus. Maintaining services at Woodbury during construction in Mullica Hill allows us to invest more wisely, make it easier to incorporate new technologies, reduce construction by one year, and -- most importantly -- avoid disruption to the patients served by Inspira Woodbury.
One of the latest and most exciting additions to the Woodbury campus is a state-of-the-art radiation oncology facility that allows natural light directly into the room and provides patients with a view of the outside garden before and after treatment. Other recent investments include a new hyperbaric oxygen therapy suite in the wound care center, improved waiting areas, and a newly renovated orthopedics unit. Our development plans will be an important component in Woodbury's revitalization, and Inspira will ensure that local families continue to receive outstanding health care in the comfort, convenience, and security of a community hospital setting.
